Hamas calls on Arab, Muslim states to take action against Israel

Hamas calls on Arab, Muslim states to take action against Israel

A senior Hamas official has called on Arab and Muslim governments to take decisive action against Israel as the regime continues to kill Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Osama Hamdan, a senior representative of Hamas in Lebanon a member of the group’s politburo, told a press conference in Beirut on Friday that Arab and Muslim countries have the capacity to put pressure on Washington to stop the aggression and open the Gaza crossings.

Referring to an extraordinary session of the Arab League on the Gaza war set to be held on Saturday in Saudi Arabia, Hamdan said participants must go beyond merely denouncing Israeli crimes and boycott the “Nazi terrorist entity.”

He called on the participants of the Arab League meeting, which will be held in Saudi Arabia, to reject any external interference in Palestinian affairs.

Hamdan said it is “unacceptable” for Arab states to have relations with Israel, urging them to stop the so-called normalization process.

The Hamas official also called on the international community to hold Israel to account over its crimes against the Palestinians.

The Israeli regime has been bombarding the besieged Gaza since October 7, when Hamas staged a surprise ground operation into the occupied territories that led it to take hundreds of Israeli captives.

The regime launched its invasion of the Gaza strip on October 27, vowing to wipe Hamas off the earth.

Over 11,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed in Israeli air and ground attacks so far.

Hamas won’t give up the fight

Elsewhere in his remarks, Hamdan said the movement is determined to keep up resisting the Israeli aggression.

He said Al-Qassam fighters were constantly confronting the Israeli army and their morale was high.

The Palestinian official called on resistance fighters to escalate retaliatory operations against Israel, saying the regime only understands the language of force.

Hamdan stressed that the number of the Israeli casualties is many times greater than what is announced.

‘Israel rejects truce’

Hamdan also said there’re contacts with Qatar and Egypt aimed at reaching a ceasefire over humanitarian ground.

However, he said the Israeli occupation, supported by the US, has so far rejected a ceasefire.

Hamdan rejected what he called the American administration’s attempts to impose guardianship over the Palestinian people.

He said the Palestinian people have begun the process of liberating their lands and returning to regain their full, undiminished rights.

International calls have been growing for Israel’s onslaught on Palestinians in Gaza to stop amid the deteriorating humanitarian conditions there.

But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has repeatedly ruled out any in the regime’s anti-Palestinian operations until all the captives are freed.
