Hyderabad: The strike launched by RTC employees is set to intensify further from Thursday, as union leaders gear up for a statewide protest.

The Joint Action Committee (JAC) has called for a ‘Maha Dharna’ in front of all RTC depots across the State, urging workers to participate from morning.

Union leaders accused the State government and RTC management of adopting a rigid and evasive approach by failing to address their demands. They alleged that instead of resolving issues, authorities were attempting to mislead the public and portray the workers negatively.

The JAC leaders said the strike became inevitable after the government-appointed committee expressed its inability to resolve the issues immediately. They reiterated that the agitation would continue until key demands were met.

The JAC appealed to workers across all bus depots, units and workshops in the State to actively participate in the protests and strengthen the ongoing movement.
