Jagtial: Manohar became a special attraction at the BRS’s ‘Praja Ashirvada Sabha’ public meeting held in Jagtial on Monday, on the occasion of senior Congress leader T Jeevan Reddy joining the party. A native of Cherial in Siddipet district, Manohar attended the meeting wearing a special flexi dress carrying pictures of BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao and working president KT Rama Rao, as well as welfare schemes implemented by the previous government.
A big fan of the BRS chief, Manohar toured the meeting premises wearing the flexi dress. BRS workers and others showed enthusiasm to take selfies with him. He prepared the flexi dress at his own expense and attended the meeting. Praising former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for introducing various welfare schemes, he criticised Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for allegedly duping people by denying the six guarantees.
Except for the free bus facility for women, the Chief Minister has done nothing for the welfare of the people during the last two and a half years, he said. He also alleged that, apart from denying schemes, houses of the poor were demolished. However, Chandrashekhar Rao, who achieved separate Telangana by putting his life at risk, had introduced a number of welfare schemes such as 24-hour free power supply, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, Kalyanalaxmi, Shadhi Mubharak, drinking water supply to each house, Aasara pensions and others.
Besides creating 33 districts, new Collectorate office buildings were also constructed in each district. Ambedkar memorial, Police Command and Control Centre and other infrastructure were also developed, he said.
