Hyderabad: A technical glitch, which disrupted the HMWSSB’s customer care functioning and booking of water tankers in the early hours of Thursday, was resolved by afternoon.
The water board later in the afternoon said the technical issue affecting the IVRS on the metro customer care (MCC) number 155313 was resolved, and all phone lines were functioning normally.
The glitch was addressed on an urgent basis in coordination with the BSNL technical team, it said. Customers could again use the 155313 number to lodge complaints, access services and obtain information.
As the customer care number went non-operational in the early hours, the HMWSSB had advised the customers to use alternative methods for water tanker booking, such as online through the official website by logging in, entering the required details and completing the booking, through the mobile app.
Customers could download it to register and book, and contact the nearest water board section office or water supply office to request a tanker. In emergency situations, they were asked to contact the local lineman or field staff for services.
