A man posing as a CISF officer was arrested at Hyderabad airport after being found in uniform. He is accused of cheating around 60 women through fake matrimonial profiles, allegedly posing as a security official to deceive victims.

Man posing as CISF officer arrested at Hyderabad Airport

Hyderabad: A man posing as a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officer was reportedly caught when wearing a CISF uniform and moving suspiciously within the premises at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

The suspect, identified as Balakrishna from Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh, allegedly impersonated CISF personnel and falsely claimed he was employed with the force. As per information available, Balakrishna is alleged to have cheated as many as 60 women by luring them into marriage proposals and reportedly used matrimonial platforms, where he created fake profiles posing as a police or security official to trap victims.


It is learnt that he would build relationships with women under false pretenses and later exploit them financially and emotionally.

The airport security personnel grew suspicious of his behaviour and detained him for questioning, and he spilled the beans.

He was subsequently arrested, and further investigation is ongoing.
