MA&UD approves land for permanent Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation building

The Telangana government has allotted 10 acres at Uppal Bhagayath Layout Phase-III for a permanent Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation office. The civic body had sought ₹98 crore for construction. The new headquarters will replace its temporary office at Tarnaka

MA&UD approves land for permanent Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation building

Hyderabad: The Metropolitan Area and Urban Development Department on Monday allotted 10 acres of land at Uppal Bhagayath Layout Phase-III for the construction of a new and permanent Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation administrative building.

The orders issued on Monday said Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation Commissioner sought an administrative sanction of Rs 98 crore for the construction of a permanent office building for the Corporation.


The GO stated that the new MMC building will be constructed on the government’s 10-acre land located in Survey Nos: 264,265,266,267,268,269,276,278,279 and 280 in Uppal Bhagayath Layout Phase-III.

After trifurcation of GHMC, HMDA, Tarnaka premises was allotted to the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation from February 10, 2026 on a temporary basis to run the civic body administration.
