
The Wall Street Journal, citing informed sources, reported that despite harsh statements from both Iranian and American sides, the doors of diplomacy remain open.
The newspaper also revealed that regional countries are eager to return the United States and Iran to the negotiating table to contain tensions and prevent further escalation of regional tensions.
In this regard, Waseem Abbasi, a journalist for Pakistan’s Arab News, claimed that diplomatic sources say that a movement for the next stage is taking shape, and it is likely that US-Iran talks will resume in the coming days with Pakistan’s facilitation, either in Islamabad or elsewhere in Europe.
On Sunday, talks between Washington and Tehran were held in Islamabad with Pakistan’s mediation. After several hours of intense negotiations, despite some progress, fundamental disagreements remained.
