A 28-year-old youth from Maharashtra was feared drowned in the Kakatiya canal near Huzurabad in Karimnagar district on Saturday after entering the canal for a swim. Police launched a search operation to trace the missing man.

Karimnagar: A youngster Vijay (28) was feared drowned in Kakatiya canal near Huzurabad town on Saturday. According to police, Vijay got down into the canal to have a swim and went missing as there was heavy flow in the canal.
Knowing about the incident, police visited the spot and launched a search for him. Vijay is a native of Sagarelli, Biloli mandal, Nanded district of Maharashtra.
