Hyderabad: In a tragic road crash, three persons died after a speeding car hit a scooter and a pedestrian at Hastinapuram on Sagar Road on Wednesday.
According to police, the man, whose identity was not immediately disclosed allegedly driving a car under the influence of alcohol rammed into a two-wheeler and a pedestrian in the morning.
The vehicle reportedly dragged the victims for nearly 100-meters before overturning.
The victims have been identified as Shiva and Sandeep, students of Mahaveer Engineering College, who were travelling on the motorcycle. A third youth, who was walking along the road, also died in the incident. His identity was yet to be known.
Following the accident, angry college students staged a protest at the spot, demanding that the driver be handed over to them and raising slogans against him.
On receiving information, the police reached the spot, brought the situation under control. Case was booked and investigation is on.
