Two from Mancherial held for peddling ganja sachets in Asifabad

Police in Kumram Bheem Asifabad arrested two persons from Mancherial for allegedly peddling ganja sachets. Authorities seized 3.6 kilograms of contraband, a motorcycle and mobile phones, and said the accused sourced the drugs from neighbouring states.

Two from Mancherial held for peddling ganja sachets in Asifabad

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Two persons were arrested on charges of peddling banned ganja at Salugupalli village in Bejjur mandal on Monday. Police seized a motorcycle, 3.6 kilograms of ganja worth Rs 90,000 and two mobile phones from them.

Police said that Thokala Thirupathi from Kyathanpalli and Paidipalli Raj Kumar of Chennur were apprehended for allegedly peddling sachets of the contraband substance at Salugupalli village. They were moving suspiciously during a vehicle check conducted by the police.


During interrogation, Thirupathi and Raj Kumar confessed to selling the sachets to youngsters to make a quick buck. They admitted to procuring the contraband from neighbouring states and targeting youngsters in the district by moving on two-wheelers for quite a long time.
