Six students from a Tribal Welfare Ashram school hostel in Asifabad fell ill after consuming breakfast and were hospitalised. While their condition is stable, students raised concerns over poor food quality and alleged negligence by school authorities.

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Six students fell ill after having breakfast at an Ashram school hostel belonging to the Tribal Welfare department at Yellur village in Penchikalpet mandal on Friday.
Officials said that Shashi, Anjanna, Karthik and Johnson, studying Class X, Suresh from Class IX, and Sammaiah from Class VII experienced vomiting after having breakfast at the hostel at 10.30 am. They were immediately shifted to a hospital in Kagaznagar town. Their medical condition is stable. They are under observation of doctors.
Students from the school expressed concern over the poor quality of food provided at the hostel. They urged the officials to take steps to ensure quality food as per the menu fixed by the government. They alleged that school officials were showing negligence in running the hostel.
