Monda Market police arrested a 34-year-old catering agent for allegedly extorting money from a client through abusive calls and social media harassment after an event, contacting relatives and spreading false information to pressure the victim.

Hyderabad: The Monda Market police arrested a 34-year-old catering agent for allegedly extorting money from a client through abusive calls and social media harassment.
The suspect, Mudiraj Vannuru Swamy alias Anji Kiran, allegedly demanded extra payment after an event and threatened the victim when refused. He also contacted relatives and spread false information to create pressure.
Based on a complaint, the Monda Market police booked a case and nabbed him.
