GHMC officials removed 33 encroachments, including permanent and temporary structures, during a drive from Lalapet Flyover to Street No. 1 in Tarnaka. The civic body said the action aims to improve traffic flow, pedestrian safety and urban management.

Hyderabad:Â The GHMC, Tarnaka Circle, on Monday conducted an encroachment removal drive from Lalapet Flyover to Street No 1, Tarnaka.
During the drive, officials from the GHMC Town Planning wing identified and removed 15 permanent and 18 temporary structures that were obstructing public space.
A press release on Monday said the initiative is aimed at ensuring smooth traffic movement, pedestrian safety, and better urban management in the area. The GHMC officials warned general public not to indulge in any form of encroachments on public roads, adding that similar enforcement drives will be taken up regularly and strict action will be taken against anyone found carrying out encroachments in violation of rules.
The citizens’ cooperation was sought in maintaining a clean, safe and encroachment-free city; the officials made a plea.
