Hyderabad: In response to the ongoing fuel issues, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has announced a 30 per cent reduction in ticket fares on Metro AC and Metro Deluxe buses within the Hyderabad region.
TGSRTC Managing Director Y Nagi Reddy in a statement said the move aims to ease the burden on commuters who are spending long hours in queues at petrol stations. He urged citizens to opt for public transport instead of relying on private vehicles during the crisis.
RTC officials said the initiative would save time and fuel, reduce congestion at fuel stations, and promote smoother travel across the city. The corporation also noted that increased use of buses, particularly electric ones, would contribute to lowering pollution levels.
TGSRTC has requested citizens to take advantage of the reduced fares and switch to bus travel.
