Ghalibaf urges Muslim unity in Eid al-Fitr message

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf issued a message to Muslims around the world on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, calling for unity among Islamic countries and emphasizing the need for regional cooperation.

In an Arabic-language message, Ghalibaf said Eid al-Fitr should be regarded as a celebration of brotherhood and urged Muslim nations to work toward building a new security order in the region based on solidarity among themselves rather than reliance on the enemies of Islam.

He said divisions among Muslim countries serve the interests of common enemies and warned against trusting the United States, describing it as the main supporter of the genocide in Gaza Strip, Lebanon and Iran.

The parliament speaker said Muslim countries should prevent foreign military use of their territory against other Islamic nations, adding that if no Muslim country allowed military bases to be used against Iran, no confrontation would occur.

He also called for bilateral and multilateral security and economic agreements among regional countries, saying such cooperation could establish lasting security without foreign interference.

Ghalibaf concluded by saying that the region’s interests should belong exclusively to its own people and called for practical solidarity among Muslim nations.
