Iran’s veteran wrestlers won 2 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals in the sporting event.
Koroush Abbas-Niko and Bahauddin Karimzadeh each won gold medals in the 100kg and 130kg weight categories respectively in division D.
Other Iranian wrestlers, Alireza Talebian (88 kg, Div. D) and Asghar Marani (130 kg, Div. E) each bagged silver medals, while Mohammad Fathi (100kg, Div. B), Majid Hekmati (100 kg, Div. C), and Behzad Abdolvand (100 kg, Div. C) each received the bronze medals.
Veterans World Championships was held in Loutraki, Greece from October 17 to 22, 2023.
