A shocking incident unfolded in Tukkapuram village, Yadadri Bhongir district, where the wife of former Sarpanch B Narender Reddy, allegedly killed her teenage daughter and tried to murder her son before attempting suicide.

Nalgonda: A former Sarpanch’s wife allegedly killed her daughter and attempted to kill her son before trying to commit suicide at Tukkapuram village in Yadadri Bhongir district.
The woman was identified as Ratnakala, wife of Jainapally’s former Sarpanch B Narender Reddy. The reasons behind the incident are yet to be ascertained.
According to reports, she first slit the throat of her daughter, Keerthana Reddy (14). She then attempted to kill her son, Ashanth Reddy, in a similar manner, but the boy managed to escape and raised an alarm.
As Ashanth Reddy screamed for help, Ratnakala attempted to commit suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling. Alerted by the boy’s cries, villagers rushed to the house and rescued him.
Ratnakala was stated to be in a critical condition and was shifted to Hyderabad for treatment, according to reports.
The former Sarpanch’s wife had arrived in Tukkapuram village on Saturday to visit her parents’ house from her in-laws’ residence at Jainapally.
