Hyderabad: All arrangements, including question paper, answer booklet, an invigilator and chief superintendent, were put in place for one student to take the intermediate public examination at a centre in Nagarkurnool district on Saturday. However, the lone registered student failed to show up.
This incident occurred during the conduct of the intermediate bridge course mathematics-I examination (for BiPC students who wish to pursue engineering or other streams), at the Government Junior College Boys, Nagarkurnool.
Following an intermediate passed out student registering to appear for the bridge course, the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TG BIE) arranged a centre for the candidate to take the examination.
Speaking to ‘Telangana Today’, Nagarkurnool district Nodal Officer Ramana said irrespective of the number of applications, only one centre per district is set up for conducting the bridge course examination.
“This social welfare junior college student, who already passed intermediate, registered to appear for the bridge course mathematics-I. This is not a fresh centre, specially set up for the student to take the exam, but the continuation centre that already conducted main examinations till Friday. We have made all arrangements but the student did not turn up,” he added.
Meanwhile, 33,878 out of 37,915 students who registered for the public administration paper – I and bridge course mathematics-I appeared. No malpractice was booked during the exam that was conducted smoothly and peacefully without any untoward incidents, said S Krishna Aditya, Secretary TG BIE.
