Shortage of LPG cylinders continues to trouble residents in Adilabad

Adilabad: Residents continued to face inconvenience due to a shortage of domestic LPG cylinders in Adilabad town on Saturday.

Carrying empty cylinders, consumers of an LPG agency formed long queues in front of its branch. They said they were forced to wait for long hours to receive refilled cylinders after booking them online. Many consumers said they were returning without refilled cylinders due to the shortage. They urged officials to take steps to ensure regular supply of cylinders and avoid inconvenience.

Agency operators clarified that they had no stock of cylinders and advised consumers to collect them once fresh supplies arrive at the agency. They also said cylinders would be supplied only to consumers who had booked LPG either online or over the phone.

The operators added that steps were being taken to streamline supply and minimise inconvenience to consumers.
