SSC examinations begin on a peaceful note across Adilabad

More than 37,000 students appeared for the SSC Class X examinations across the erstwhile Adilabad district on Saturday. Authorities deployed invigilators and special squads, imposed Section 144 and shut xerox centres to ensure smooth conduct without malpractice.

Adilabad: The annual SSC examinations of Class X began on a peaceful note across the erstwhile Adilabad district on Saturday.

More than 37,000 students are appearing for the examinations in Adilabad, Nirmal, Mancherial and Kumram Bheem Asifabad districts. District Collectors inspected examination venues.


Adilabad district accounts for 10,888 students, while 9,758 students from Nirmal district are appearing for the examinations. As many as 9,703 students from Mancherial district and 6,949 students from Kumram Bheem Asifabad district are also writing the examinations.

Fifty-two venues were created to conduct the examinations in Adilabad district, while 47 centres were identified in Nirmal district. Forty-eight venues were arranged in Mancherial district and 38 centres were set up in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district.

Around 500 invigilators were deputed in each district, while special squads were assigned to prevent copying.

Officials said the examinations commenced without any inconvenience to students. They stated that no incidents of copying or question paper leakage were reported. Section 144 of the CrPC was imposed at examination venues, while Xerox centres were shut down as a precautionary measure.

District Educational Officers inspected the centres and ensured that the examinations were conducted smoothly. The DEOs said elaborate arrangements were made for the hassle-free conduct of the examinations.
