
Secretary General of the Shipping Association and Affiliated Services Masoud Polmah emphasized that the trade-commercial shipping ports should be immunized from any aggression according to the international conventions.
No country has the right to attack the interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran at ports under the excuse of conducting the military activities, he underlined.
The International Maritime Organization (IMO) and some of the international conventions have explicitly reiterated that no country has the right to prevent countries from conducting humanitarian trade-commercial activities.
Accordingly, none of the trade and commercial ports of the country have the military activity, he said, adding that no country has the right to attack the interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the ports, Polmah stressed.
Presently, all ports of the country are active, he said, adding, “Entry and exit of ships, discharging and loading cargoes are ongoing at ports of the country and there is not any obstacle in the country’s ports and maritime logistics process.”
