Attapur police arrested two youths from Maharashtra and seized 1.74 kg of ganja from them on Thursday. The accused allegedly bought the contraband from multiple suppliers and sold it to customers in the city. Police are searching for the other suspects.

Hyderabad: The Attapur police on Thursday arrested two persons who were found in possession of ganja and seized 1.74 kilograms of the contraband from them.
Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested Shaik Shoeb (22), a truck driver, and Mohammad Nadeem (19), a painter, both residents of Akola in Maharashtra, who were carrying the ganja in a bag.
“On questioning, Shoeb and Nadeem told us that they had purchased the contraband from Altu, Lala, Arsalan, Yousuf, Amer, Sohail and Shera, and were selling it to customers in the city,” said Attapur sub-inspector, N Nirajan.
The property has been seized and the suspects sent to judicial remand. The police are making efforts to nab the persons who are absconding.
