Iranian, Indian FMs discuss latest developments in region 

During the phone call, Araghchi briefed his Indian counterpart on the heinous crimes committed by the Israeli regime and the United States against the Iranian nation over the past 11 days including missile attack on an elementary school in Minab at the first day of war and also attack of aggressors to the civilian centers including schools, and hospitals, emphasizing the firm determination of his country to defend itself.

The US and Israeli aggression against Iran run contrary to the fundamental principles of the international law and the UN Charter, he said, stressing that all governments are responsible to condemn the vivid military aggression of US and Israeli against Iran. 

Iran’s top diplomat pointed to the principled approach taken by Tehran in safeguarding the security of shipping in the Persian Gulf, noting that the insecurity situation created for shipping in the Persian Gulf is the result of aggressive moves of the United States, so that the international community should take account the US for creating this grave situation. 

Indian foreign minister, for his part, emphasized the significance of continuation and promotion of bilateral ties between Tehran and New Delhi.

Jaishankar stressed the need to continue consultations to help return the stability and security to the region.
