Sangareddy: Former Minister T Harish Rao said that the US and Israel’s war with Iran put the entire world under serious stress including the Telangana people living in the Gulf. He observed the prices of essential commodities were going up as the war hit imports and exports between the countries. Rao feared that the prevailing situation may force the oil companies to hike the prices of petrol and diesel which will burden the people during the festival season.

Participating in an Iftar party organised by Sangareddy MLA Chintha Prabhakar here on Tuesday, Harish Rao accused the Congress government of ignoring the welfare of the minorities. Even though the Congress came to power by promising to allot Rs 4,000 exclusive budgets for Muslims, Rao said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy completely ignored the promise. He recalled how BRS government led by former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao organised Iftar Parties officials besides distributing Ramzan gifts to the poor.
