Members of the Shia community in Hyderabad observed the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali on the 20th day of Ramzan with a procession from Charminar to Darulshifa. Majlis gatherings, religious programmes, and all-night prayer sessions were organised across several localities.

Hyderabad: Shia community members on Tuesday observed the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali, which falls on the 20 th day of Ramzan month.
To mark the occasion, a big procession was taken out in the old city from Charminar and it culminated at Darulshifa.
Syed Hameed Hussain Jaffery, president of Telangana Shia Youth Conference, explained to mark the occasion, a Majlis (religious gathering) was held at Charminar, Later, a big procession was taken out and it passed through Gulzar Houz, Pather Gatti, Madina Building, Chatta Bazar, Lakkad Kote, Purani Haveli, Darulshifa and culminated at Masjid e Imamia, Kali Khabar. Several religious leaders participated in the procession and prayer sessions held afterwards at Darulshifa and Kali Khabar.
At various places in Old City, Chintalmet, Rajendranagar and Moula Ali, special programmes and all-night prayer sessions were organised by the local religious committees.
