Mahabubabad flexi board warning wedding gatecrashers of legal action goes viral

Mahabubabad: A photograph of a flexi board displayed at the entrance of a function hall in Mahabubabad, cautioning uninvited guests against entering the premises, has gone viral on social media.

The management of Ashok Nandan Garden, located near NTR Stadium on Kesamudram Road, put up the flexi stating that anyone not related to the families celebrating ceremonies at the function hall would face legal action.

According to the message on the flexi, unwanted guests, if caught, would face three months in prison and a Rs 5,000 fine under Section 441 (criminal trespass) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. It stated that on an average 100 to 150 outsiders attend marriages and other ceremonies held at function halls, consume food meant for invited guests and cause inconvenience to both the families and the invitees.

According to a marriage photographer, Raju from Mahabubabad, it has become a common practice for several function halls in Mahabubabad district and neighbouring districts to display such warning boards to deter unwanted guests.

He said there had been instances where outsiders resorted to clashes with catering staff and guests during functions.

The photograph of the flexi board has been widely circulated on social media, with many users sharing their experiences of similar situations where a large number of outsiders consumed the food prepared for guests. Some, however, commented that feeding as many people as possible would be a blessing.
