Sangareddy: Burglars decamped with six tolas of gold ornaments, eight kg of silver and Rs. 90,000 in cash from the Sri Vara Siddhi Vinayaka Swamy Temple located at Ashok Nagar Colony in RC Puram mandal on Monday night.
The incident came to light on Tuesday morning when the temple priest arrived to offer prayers and noticed the theft.
Following a complaint, the RC Puram police visited the scene of offence. A Clues team collected evidence from the temple premises. Police are also examining CCTV footage in the surrounding areas to identify the miscreants.
A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
