A senior citizen driving a car in Secunderabad reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest and lost control of his vehicle, hitting several cars. Traffic inspector Ravi Kumar rushed to the scene, performed CPR, and shifted him to a hospital.

Hyderabad: Quick intervention by traffic police helped prevent a major accident and loss of life at Secunderabad on Monday evening. According to the police, a senior citizen was driving a car on the Sangeet Theatre road stretch when he suffered a cardiac arrest. He lost control of the vehicle, hitting several other cars before ramming into a road divider.
The Gopalapuram traffic inspector, Ravi Kumar, who was nearby at the time, witnessed the accident and rushed to the spot. Finding the senior citizen unresponsive, the Inspector performed CPR before shifting him to a nearby hospital in an ambulance.
The driver is yet to be identified. While the incident caused a brief traffic jam, the road was cleared quickly after additional policemen were mobilised.
