According to the statement released by Iran’s Foreign Ministry, Araghchi extended his congratulations to Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei and the people of Iran following his selection as the third Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
In his message, the foreign minister said the decision comes at a sensitive and critical moment for the country and will undoubtedly guarantee Iran’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity while reinforcing national unity and cohesion.
Araghchi stated that he, along with all diplomats of the Islamic Republic of Iran—including ambassadors, chargés d’affaires, consuls-general, and heads of diplomatic missions abroad—as well as deputy ministers, managers, and staff of the Foreign Ministry inside the country, pledge allegiance to the new leadership.
He added that Iran’s diplomatic apparatus remains committed to defending the rights of the Iranian nation, advancing national interests and security, and pursuing the objectives of the Islamic Revolution.
