Hyderabad: A two-day Mega Farmers’ Mela, which commenced at PJTAU here on Sunday, saw the participation of a large number of women farmers, agricultural experts and agriculture students from across the State.
The mela was organised on the occasion of International Women’s Day and in the context of the United Nations declaring 2026 as the International Year of Women Farmers.
Ministers Tummala Nageswara Rao, Danasari Anasuya and D Sridhar Babu along with ICAR Director General ML Jat and PJTAU Vice Chancellor Prof Aldas Janaiah participated. During the event, awards were presented to 30 women farmers and six agricultural journalists.
