Siddipet: Former Minister T Harish Rao, who unveiled a Mahatma Gandhi statue at Chowdaram village in Chinnakodur mandal, said the village had undergone tremendous transformation during the 10-year rule of the BRS.
Harish Rao, who also inaugurated CCTV cameras in the village, said former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao realised Mahatma Gandhi’s dream by developing villages across the State. He said the supply of irrigation water to every nook and corner of Siddipet constituency had changed the face of the villages.
Rao said Chandrashekhar Rao also followed the footsteps of Mahatma Gandhi by successfully leading a peaceful 14-year-long Telangana movement. The former Minister said schemes such as Mission Bhagiratha, Palle Pragathi, Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bheema, along with several others, transformed the lives of people during the 10 years of BRS rule. Rao assured villagers that he would continue to extend similar support to the village in the coming days.
