Hezbollah said its fighters detected four helicopters belonging to the Israeli regime’s army entering from Syrian territory at 22:30 on Friday, March 6.
According to the statement, the helicopters deployed infantry troops in the Juroud triangle area near the villages of Yahfoufa, al-Khraybeh and Maeraboun.
The Israeli forces then advanced toward the eastern neighborhood of Nabi Sheet village, known as the Al-Shakr district.
Hezbollah said the fighters of the Islamic Resistance reached the village cemetery at about 23:30, where they engaged in clashes with the enemy.
The confrontation began with light and medium weapons and intensified after the position of the Israeli regime troops was exposed, the group said.
It added that the Israeli regime carried out heavy fire to cover the withdrawal of its forces, launching about 40 airstrikes and using warplanes and helicopters to secure the retreat.
