
According to statement No. 16 issued by the Islamic Republic of Iran Army on Saturday, a total of 13 advanced drones were targeted and shot down during the past 24 hours.
The drones reportedly included models such as the MQ-9 Reaper, the Hermes drone, and the Orbiter drone.
The statement said the interceptions were carried out by missile and artillery systems operated by ground forces and air defense units of both the army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, operating under the command of the Joint National Air Defense Headquarters.
According to the report, the drones were shot down in several regions including northwestern and western areas of the country as well as southern regions and the provinces of Isfahan, Kerman, and Tehran.
The statement added that since the beginning of the aggression by American and Israeli forces, a total of 82 drones have been shot down by the air defense systems of Iran’s army and the IRGC.
