In a heart-rending incident at Choppadandi in Karimnagar, an elderly couple died within hours of each other. Lachaiah succumbed to age-related ailments on Friday evening, and his wife Hanumakka, already hospitalised, passed away later that night after hearing of his death.

Karimnagar: An elderly couple died within a span of five hours in Choppadandi.
According to local residents, Lachaiah (85) died on Friday evening due to age-related health problems. His wife Hanumakka (80), who was already undergoing treatment at a hospital, breathed her last late that night after learning about her husband’s death.
A pall of gloom descended on their house following the deaths of the couple within hours of each other.
