TG EAPCET 2026: JNTU-Hyderabad freezes test zones in five districts

Hyderabad: Students appearing for the Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (TG EAPCET) 2026 will not be able to choose test zones in five districts as authorities have frozen them.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Hyderabad, which is conducting the TG EAPCET 2026, has frozen test zones in Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Sangareddy, Adilabad and Nizamabad. The university took this decision due to the high volume of applications received from these districts which are beyond the centres’ capacity.

“Since these zones have received more applications than the capacity, they have been frozen. These zones will not reflect during the fresh registration,” said Dr. Vijaya Kumar Reddy, Convener TG EAPCET 2026.

While registering for the EAPCET, candidates need to select test zones in the order of preference. Based on the preference of the candidates and availability of slots in the respective zone, the test centres are allotted to students.

So far, 96,892 students have registered for the TG EAPCET. Of the total, 64,861 applied for the engineering entrance test, 31,918 for Agriculture and Pharmacy (A&P) and 113 candidates submitted applications for both engineering and Agriculture and Pharmacy.

The last date to apply without a late fee via the website https://eapcet.tgche.ac.in/ is April 4. After submission of application, an edit option will be provided from April 6 to 8. Applications will be accepted with a late fee of Rs 250 and Rs 500 up to April 10 and 15 respectively.

Candidates can also apply with a late fee of Rs 2,500 and Rs 5,000 till April 20 and 24 respectively. This time, the JNTU-Hyderabad re-introduced the provision of submitting applications with a late fee of Rs 10,000. Such registrations will be accepted between April 25 and May 2.

For candidates who register with a late fee of Rs 2,500, Rs 5,000 and Rs 10,000, the test centre will be allotted in Hyderabad IV zone, Dr. Reddy said.

Hall tickets for the A&P entrance test will be made available for download on April 23, while hall tickets for the engineering test will be hosted on the website on April 27. The A&P entrance test is scheduled for May 4 and 5 and the engineering entrance test will be held from May 9 to 11.
