For Iran, Amer Khorsand smashed the highest 37 runs off 22 balls. His scores included five sixes and one four.
Iran will compete with Saudi Arabia and Bahrain on Sunday and Tuesday respectively.
Iran is placed into Group ‘A’ alongside Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Nepal. Similarly, Group ‘B’ includes UAE, Oman, Qatar, and China.
Singapore, Kuwait, Thailand, and Maldives are placed into Group ‘C’, and Hong Kong, Malaysia, Japan, and Indonesia into Group ‘D’.
