One injured as speeding car rams into truck, bursts into flames in Hyderabad

A speeding car rammed into a DCM truck on the Bairamalguda flyover in LB Nagar and caught fire past midnight. One person was seriously injured. Police suspect drunk driving and have registered a case

Hyderabad: A speeding car created panic on the Bairamalguda flyover in LB Nagar after crashing into a goods vehicle and catching fire on Sunday midnight. No casualties were reported.

The incident occurred when the car reportedly travelled at high speed and rammed into the rear of a DCM truck.

Following the impact, the vehicle lost control and hit the road divider, triggering a sudden blaze that engulfed the car within minutes.

Locals who witnessed the accident immediately alerted the police and the fire department.

Firefighters rushed to the spot with fire engines and managed to douse the flames before they could spread further. The car was completely gutted in the fire.

Police said there were no fatalities in the mishap.

However, one occupant of the car suffered serious injuries and was shifted to a nearby private hospital for treatment.

Police suspect that the occupants of the car were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

A case was booked.
