Peetham land takeover issue: Harish welcomes Govt’s decision

Hyderabad: Welcoming the Congress government’s decision to retain the land allotment to Sharada Peetham, former Minister T Harish Rao at the same time questioned the alleged allotment of 17 acres to a company owned by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s son-in-law.

He said it was due to the grace of goddess Rajashyamala Devi that the government had cancelled the land allotment to the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB). This was a victory of the devotees, he posted on X.

“I bow to the goddess Rajashyamala Devi for blessing Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy with a sensible mind,” Harish Rao said, meanwhile questioning the Chief Minister over the alleged allotment of 17 acres to his son-in-law purely on a nomination basis and in gross violation of environmental rules and regulations, besides affecting the government’s revenue.

“The permission accorded to a crusher unit on the land should be immediately cancelled. The BRS will continue to fight against the Revanth Reddy government’s moves against public interest,” Harish Rao said.
