Four arrested with 4 kg ganja by Hyderabad Task Force

Hyderabad Police arrested four persons for allegedly possessing and selling ganja. Four kilograms of the contraband and three mobile phones were seized. Police said the ganja was sourced from Odisha and distributed to local customers in the city.

Four arrested with 4 kg ganja by Hyderabad Task Force

Hyderabad: Four persons who were in possession of ganja were caught by the Hyderabad Police Commissioner’s Task Force (Jubilee Hills) team on Thursday. Four kilograms of ganja and three mobile phones were seized from them.

Those apprehended are Nageshwar Rao Kello (25), of Odisha, Hardeep Singh (47) of Secunderabad, Priyath Vijay (34) of Malkajgiri and Gandham Goverdhan (37) of Alwal.


According to police, Nageshwar was bringing ganja from Odisha and supplying it to Hardeep Singh, who in turn supplied it to local customers. “Nageshwar was bringing the ganja from one Saibaba of Odisha, and selling it in the city to local customers. On a tip off, a trap was laid and four persons were nabbed,” said DCP Task Force, Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath.

Vijay and Goverdhan were buying the ganja from Hardeep and Nageshwar when they were caught.
