A 24-year-old government job aspirant from Chennur, Mancherial district, died by suicide after failing to secure employment despite years of preparation. The young man consumed pesticide on February 19 and succumbed while undergoing treatment on Saturday.

Mancherial: An aspirant of government job died by suicide as he was distressed because he could not get an employment opportunity even after preparing hard, at Kotaboguda colony of Chennur town, on Saturday.
Police said Kiran (24) attempted to end his life by consuming pesticide as he was depressed with life after failing to secure a government job on February 19. He was immediately shifted to a hospital in Mancherial. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment on Saturday evening.
Kiran’s brother, in a complaint lodged with the police, alleged that Kiran was disheartened as he was unable to secure a government job. He had been preparing for a Group IV job after taking special coaching in Hyderabad, spending a lot of money for quite a long time.
The youngster pursued a degree course and aspired to become a government employee. He appeared for different competitive examinations, but he could not succeed in his attempts, it was mentioned in the complaint. A case was registered and investigations were taken up.
