Hyderabad: Shrivalli Rashmikaa Bhamidipaty of India defeated Francesca Curmi of Malta 7-6 (6), 6-4 in the singles first round of the KPB Trust Women’s Open ITF women’s tennis tournament at Bengaluru on Wednesday.
The Hyderabad girl then combined with Maya Rajeshwaran Revathi to score a 6-1, 6-3 win against Harshini Nagaraj and Vashita Patania in the doubles pre-quarterfinal.

Pooja to lead Hyd U-23 team
