Hyderabad: Nissan Motor India on Tuesday launched the all-new Gravite, a 7-seater MPV, at an introductory price of Rs. 5.65 lakh (ex-showroom). Unveiled in Udaipur, the Gravite marks the beginning of the company’s renewed product push in India.

Inspired by India and made in India at its alliance partner’s facility in Chennai, the Gravite is positioned as a spacious, versatile and practical family mover with a strong road presence.


Thierry Sabbagh, Divisional Vice President and President, Middle East, KSA, CIS and India, Nissan and Infiniti, said India is central to Nissan’s global plans and the Gravite signals the start of a steady growth phase backed by local manufacturing and a future-ready product roadmap.

Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said the Gravite reflects the diversity and aspirations of Indian families. He added that the company will continue to design, manufacture and invest in vehicles aligned with India’s mobility needs.

Design and features

The MPV features elevated proportions, muscular lines, pronounced wheel arches and high ground clearance. It gets all-round LED lighting, signature LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, Crystal Edge LED tail lamps, LED fog lamps, a Piano Black 2D grille, functional roof rails and wide-opening doors. It is also the only vehicle in its segment with distinctive hood branding and rear door badging.

Inside, the Gravite offers modular seating flexibility from 2 to 7 occupants, with removable third-row seats. Boot space stands at 625 litres (5-seater), 320 litres (6-seater) and 84 litres (7-seater). The cabin gets suede and leatherette quilted seats, tropicalised AC with 3-row vents, second-row AC controls, cooled glove box and centre console storage.

Technology highlights include a 20.32 cm infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 17.78 cm digital cluster, wireless charger, auto LED headlamps, walk-away lock and front and rear parking sensors.

Safety features include six airbags, ESC, TCS, HSA, BAS, ABS with EBD and seat belt reminders for all occupants.

Powertrain and pricing

The Gravite is powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 72 PS at 6,250 rpm and 96 Nm at 3,400 to 3,600 rpm. It is offered with 5-speed manual and 5-speed EZ-shift (AMT) options, delivering 19.3 km per litre (MT) and 19.6 km per litre (AMT).

Variant-wise prices (ex-showroom) are: Visia – Rs. 5.65 lakh; Acenta – Rs. 6.59 lakh; N-Connecta – Rs. 7.20 lakh; Tekna – Rs. 7.91 lakh; N-Connecta AMT – Rs. 7.80 lakh; Tekna AMT – Rs. 8.49 lakh. Bookings are open.
