Export from Kermanshah customs hits over $1.4 b in 6 months

Head of the Kermanshah Province Customs Supervision Department Ali Asghar Abbaszadeh said on Saturday that $1,425,896,227 of goods with a weight value of 3,564,281 tons were exported from the province, showing an increase of 13% in weight and 9% in value compared to the same period in the last year.

The main export goods through the customs supervision area of Kermanshah province are rebar, iron, ceramic tiles, fruits, and vegetables, building stones, dairy, plastic products, and disposable containers, he added.

During the said period, the import value via Kermanshah customs stood at 9,125 tons of goods, valued at $67,230,486, showing a 4 and 10 percent fall in weight and value respectively, he noted.

Kermanshah in western Iran shares around 371 kilometers of borders with Iraq’s central government as well as the Kurdistan Region. With six official border crossings and markets, the province accounts for almost half of Iran’s annual non-oil exports to Iraq.
