Congress workers attack BRS councillor-elect’s husband in Gajwel

Siddipet: Congress workers allegedly attacked the husband of a BRS councillor-elect in Gajwel municipality hours after her victory on Friday.

Bharat Rashtra Samithi candidate Mamatha won from the second ward in the municipality. BRS cadres raised slogans while passing by the house of the Congress candidate who had lost to Mamatha. Angered by this, the Congress candidate and his followers allegedly attacked Santosh, Mamatha’s husband, along with other BRS workers. The incident created tension in the area for some time.


Subsequently, the BRS leader lodged a complaint with the Gajwel town police against the Congress workers.
