Speaking in a meeting with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi, the Chinese side once again supported Iran’s right to peaceful use of nuclear energy, emphasizing the need for a political and diplomatic settlement of Iran’s nuclear issue.
During the meeting, Gharibabadi stated that China has always backed the peaceful solution of Iran’s nuclear issue through political and diplomatic means.
The senior Iranian diplomat hailed China’s fair and impartial stance on Iran’s nuclear issue, stressing Tehran’s willingness to maintain consecutive relations and coordination with China.
The senior Chinese diplomat, for his part, emphasized that Iran has repeatedly stressed its unwillingness to develop nuclear weapons, adding that Beijing is ready to cooperate with the international community to continue advancing a suitable and sustainable solution to Iran’s nuclear file.
