Hyderabad: A fuel spill, reportedly from an oil tanker, on the Kushaiguda – Nagaram road on Saturday turned dangerous for several motorists, especially two-wheelers.
Nearly 25 two-wheelers skidded and fell resulting in minor injuries to few people. No major accidents were reported.
According to sources, the fuel tanker which came from ECIL towards Keesara, due to unknown reason, spilled some fuel on the busy road.
Though it was noticed immediately, and the DRF team from GHMC and local police reached, few motorists had fallen by then.
On being alerted by motorists, Kushaiguda police rushed to the spot and diverted the traffic and spread sand and sawdust over the fuel. Normal traffic resumed later.
The Kushaiguda police said the vehicle from which the fuel spilled was yet to be identified. No case was booked.
