IHRC launches 'Boycott Genocide Supporters' campaign

IHRC launches 'Boycott Genocide Supporters' campaign

In a statement released on Tuesday, the non-profit organization based in London said that Israel has now been committing genocide openly in front of the world.

It further said that the UK and other Western governments were complicit in the ongoing genocide by the Israeli regime in the besieged Palestinian territory.

“Our governments are refusing to support a ceasefire to end the genocide, instead they are cheerleading the slaughter, providing arms and political cover so that Israel can continue exterminating Palestinians with impunity.”

“We must act now, to do whatever we can to oppose this genocide. One of the easiest things to do is to boycott those that support genocide.”

“There are many companies that support Israel and deserve to be boycotted, but this list of companies we have researched below is particularly despicable in that they have ramped up their support for Israel, often specifically for the military, whilst it commits genocide in front of their eyes.”

But senior officials in Washington and other Western capitals have said they wouldn’t be drawing any red lines for Israel, which has killed thousands of Palestinian civilians during a yet-ongoing war against the Gaza Strip.

The developments come as the Gaza-based Palestinian Hamas and Islamic Jihad Resistance movements in separate statements recently denounced a decision by the United Kingdom to conduct surveillance flights over the Gaza Strip, calling the move a military involvement in the “genocidal war” on the besieged territory.

The statements came after the British Defense Ministry announced the decision on Saturday, to help locate captives held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

The statement added that the UK should have “corrected its historically negative stance towards the Palestinian people,” and “atone for” the 1917 Balfour Declaration, which set out Britain’s aim to establish a national home for the Jewish people in Palestine.

The declaration is widely seen as the precursor to the 1948 Palestinian Nakba, when Zionist armed paramilitary groups, who were trained and created to fight side by side with the British in World War II, forcibly expelled more than 750,000 Palestinians from their homeland.

The statement said the Balfour Declaration is “the sin of the century,” stating that Britain is “making another mistake” and reminding the world of its “colonial and offensive” past.

Britain’s surveillance flights over the Gaza Strip will “put the British government at enmity with Palestinians and all freedom-loving people worldwide, who reject the Israeli aggression,” it added.

The Israeli military resumed bombing the Gaza Strip early on Friday after declaring an end to a week-long truce.

Two months into Israel’s genocidal onslaught against Palestinians, the regime continues with its air strikes and ground operations.
