The incident happened in Mianwali district on Monday, where the train hit the vehicle at a railway crossing, killing the vehicle’s driver on the spot, the district’s police said in a statement, Xinhua reports.
The train was on its way to east Rawalpindi city, the police said, adding that no casualty took place in the train.
Police and rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the body to the hospital, where it was handed over to relatives after identification.
The incident caused the railway traffic to suspend for a short while.
