Two cash management staff flee with Rs 1.20 crore from ATM replenishment route

Two employees of a cash management agency allegedly fled with Rs 1.20 crore meant for ATM replenishment in SR Nagar, Hyderabad. Following an internal audit across 31 ATMs, police registered a case and launched a manhunt, analysing CCTV footage and call data.

Two cash management staff flee with Rs 1.20 crore from ATM replenishment route

Hyderabad: Two persons working with a cash management agency and entrusted with the task of replenishing cash in ATM centres allegedly fled with Rs 1.20 crore. A case is registered at SR Nagar police station.

According to the police, the persons worked with the agency for a long time and were entrusted with a route in SR Nagar where they were supposed to deposit cash in various ATMs.


For two days, the two employees, Vasireddy and Lateef, were absent from work and efforts to reach them by phone proved futile for them.

The branch manager of the company, Naveen, approached the SR Nagar police and made a complaint after conducting an audit in the ATM centres. An internal audit conducted at 31 ATMs in the SR Nagar area found a cash shortfall of Rs 1,20,98,500.

A case has been registered at the SR Nagar Police Station. The police launched a manhunt for the absconding accused. Police were analysing CCTV footage and call data records to trace the accused.
