Police in Mancherial arrested two men for allegedly stealing silver, cash and US dollars from a house in Mulkalla village. The accused confessed during interrogation, and the stolen items were recovered. A case had earlier been registered against unknown persons.

Mancherial: Two men were arrested on Thursday on charges of stealing three tolas of silver, Rs. 2,000 in cash and 20 US dollars from the residence of a person at Mulkalla village on March 25. Police seized the silver ornaments, cash and US dollars from them.
Police said that Thokala Ramesh and Thoutam Ashok were apprehended for their alleged role in the theft from the residence of Darwaja Rajaiah. A case was already registered against unidentified persons and an investigation was taken up.
During interrogation, Ramesh and Ashok confessed to committing the burglary as they were habituated to leading a lavish lifestyle. Rajaiah, in his complaint, said that he had stored the US dollars gifted by his son.
